Well I got a new job. I am now the community coordinator for the Best Buys of N.Nevada, needless to say I have been crazy busy!
Joaquin is getting so big! And into everything. He is almost 19 months I can't believe it. Jason has been great since I am barely home. He keeps the house clean and makes my life a lot easier!

Father's Day trip to Monterey

So for J's fathers day, we decided to go out of town to see my cousins, we went to Morgan Hill and Monterey Bay Aquarium. Any way here are a few pictures from the trip. Oh ya Auntie/Mommy Grandma Monica and Cousin/Auntie Justice went along for the ride too!

So last night J had a small tumbler glass of wine on the coffee table and he walked away, I was sitting on the couch watching tv and Joaquin was tootling around. (He walks now!) and next thing I know he has his hands around the cup I go to grab it but not fast enough he got a big gulp down.

This was my second Mother's day and for me it was more important than the first. Joaquin was only a little over 2 months the first time so I didnt feel as if I had got a lot of mommy time in, So now a year later I feel more like a mom! Any way here on some pictures from the day. 5 Year Wedding Anniversary in SF

J and I have been married for 5 years now. Whoo hoo. Any way we decided to go to SF for a night. That is also where we spent our honeymoon. So we caught a Giants game, had some good food, shopping (of course) and some sight seeing. We took along Joaquin for the ride, and my auntiemommy (she was the traveling nanny). Any way here are a few pictures from our little trip.

After over 2o years of trying to get my cousin Kristina to move here, it has finally happened and she brought along her hubby and daughter Karen. I am so happy to have them here!!!!! What a first Christmas for the little dude! He got tons of toys! He is getting big. Now he commando crawls, can stand a little on his own, dances and claps, repeats some words...only once, and our favorite throws tantrumns!
J and I are great. We got a house which will be ready in July in Double Diamond. We just traded in both our cars for a Pathfinder I love it. So much more room! So back to suffering with one car. We make it work! Hope all have a great New Year!

Our son is getting so big. I cant believe how time flys!!! He is such a character he dances any time music come on, he loves to cruise around in his walker and he is trying to crawl. He is just the raddest kid ever! Even when he is pissy.

So I was supposed to go to a concert tonightand could have then my phone started blowing up. My grandpa called to tell me that my grandma was in the hospital. So Kristina and I decided that we were just going to bag the show just in case. And now it is 10 and still no word. Priorities change. And actually I was happy to stay home with my son who is whining right now in his walker. I am sure he is ready for bed. And so am I.
I am just praying and thinking posotive tonight about my grandma.
Oh man my son is way to mobile now!

Damn Cold!

I caught a cold this weekend. I hate being sick. Trapped in the house. I mean the only good thing was that I had my son to hang out with. And he keeps me entertained. The night before last the first night of my illness Joaquin decided that he really didnt need to sleep so he kept J and I awake all night. So yesterday on top of being sick I was exhausted! Last night he decided to fight me on falling asleep which normall I just let him win but last night I had a headache so around 11:30 he finally gave up fighting me. I dont think I would say I was victorious because it took an hour and half to get him to call it a night. He did however sleep until a quarter to 9 this morning. A record for him 9 hours of concecutive sleep. A nice break for J.
I still feel sick but came to work so I could just at least get out of the house. I hate being couped up against my will. Tonight should be good. Sushi and a movie.

Being a Mom

Being a mom has come more natural to me than I ever expected. I think I new I would take to being a parent easy but you always have the doubt and fear that maybe you dont have what it takes. I have more patience than I thought I would have, hearing him cry or throwing temper tantrums never frustrates or annoys me. I have to always tell my husband (who is a great dad) but does get a little overwhelmed to remember he is just a baby. I have to remember my husband had never really been around a lot of babies especially for long periods of time so I work with him not against him.
Being a mom has brought more happiness to my life than I could ever imagine. I used to be so worried about the little things and now I dont even give those thing a thought.
I really want to have more babies, but right now I am just happy with giving Joaquin the world!

Myspace wont let me break up

I tried to cancel my myspave account but the email I used to sign in I dont have anymore because it was my Sidekick email so I cant access it to confirm the cancelation. I think this is myspace's way of not letting me break up with them. I know I am hard to let go of but really myspace you need to just move on!

8 years!

And in 3 days we have been together for 8 freakin years! It has been full of ups and downs break ups, breaks, and seperations. We have been married for half the time. We have bought a home sold a home, quit our jobs and went on a 3 month vacation. And now we are parents!
Daily I am reminded how I am so lucky to be married to my best friend. Jason makes me laugh and smile in no other way any one on this planet can. We have had our share of bad times but we always come through them stronger than ever.
Now the new adventure of being parents is challenging us in ways we have never been challenged but we embrace it. I think in the 8 years this is probably the happiest we have been. I may be speaking for myself but I hope not.
I love you Jason and I love you more everyday! Sorry for the mushiness! I know people think it may be odd that we celebrate being together but to us it is more special than even our wedding anniversary. Dont get us wrong we love being married but it doesnt define us or our love. We define our love. Marriage is a piece of paper a time to have a party and celebrate your love with others. But September 23 is personal to us. That is the day our lives changed forever.
There is a song by Incubus called Echo and I think the first 2 lines sum it up
